Diadora Utility and Aprilia Racing together for the MotoGp world championship
Diadora Utility and Aprilia Racing—two of Italian sport's renowned, historic names—joined forces in 2019, forming a partnership that continues to dare MotoGp fans to dream today.
Aprilia Racing, the crown jewel of the Piaggio Group, continues to pursue new and increasingly ambitious goals, demonstrated by the 54 world titles it holds. A hotbed brimming with talent, it always aims for the top in terms of performance and competitiveness in what are the world's greatest motorcycle racing competitions. The partnership includes: Diadora Utility footwear for the technical team, motorcycles, official biker kit and uniforms worn by all staff members bearing the brand logo, and Active line shoes for travel.
For the 2019 season, everyone in the technical team wore the Glove Net, an iconic Utility shoe that provides protection, stylish design and exceptional quality and, thanks to the GEOX Net Breathing System™, is the most breathable safety shoe available on the market.
In addition, to celebrate the Mugello stage in September '19, Diadora Utility took to the track with a special limited-edition capsule collection, created in tandem with the Aprilia team and dedicated to the famous Tuscan motorcycle circuit: a head-to-toe outfit inspired by the two wheels of a bike, consisting of three multifunctional garments made with highly resistant materials and complete with details that make them comfortable and ideal for outdoor activities. The collection includes Aprilia Cargo Ripstop Pants made from resistant ripstop fabric, the Aprilia Membrane FZ Hoodie in brushed fabric with a water-repellent membrane, and the Aprilia Polo MC Atlar II in cotton pique. The garments feature both brand logos and the printed #bearacer slogan.
The partnership was renewed for the 2020 and 2021 seasons and will see the whole Aprilia team provided with the Run Net Airbox: a shoe that not only pays homage to engines themselves but also demonstrates how technology applied to high-performance sportswear can also be developed for safety wear.
