The best technology for safety at work, with patented Geox solutions
Complete with Net Breathing System™ and Breathing System™ technologies by GEOX, Diadora Utility clothing and footwear is made with one aspect in mind: breathability.
Utility's goal has always been to satisfy the needs of the safety market, starting with real issues that workers encounter every day. Certain tasks can be more tiring if they are not carried out with proper kit that is comfortable and, more importantly, breathable. The best example of the brand's commitment in this area is the introduction, in 2013, of GEOX's patented Net Breathing System™, which is now built into a wide range of shoes.
GEOX's revolutionary footwear technology is the result of extensive research aimed at inventing a special microporous membrane capable of absorbing sweat in the form of vapour and expelling it through a perforated sole. The breathable and waterproof membrane enables feet to breath without letting water in. This allows natural thermoregulation and creates the perfect microclimate within the shoe, keeping feet both dry and healthy. Temperature is even regulated in hotter weather conditions and during more intensive occupational activities. The flexibility ensures maximum comfort, whatever the situation.
With regard to clothing, GEOX workshops have developed state-of-the-art breathability technology, like the dedicated Breathing System™, to ensure maximum comfort. Due to the physics of convection, hot air that evaporates tends to rise.
With the unique Breathing System™ construction, sweat passes through the 3D Spacer, escaping through a ventilation strip (known as 'breathing tape') equipped with a special breathable and waterproof membrane that plays two roles: enabling sweat to escape and preventing water from entering. Lab tests have shown that this technology keeps garments dry, reduces dampness and eliminates the risks of chills caused by excessive sweating and sudden cold flashes.
Utility's commitment to research aimed at constantly improving its own technologies was further demonstrated in 2020 with the introduction of Airbox technology for its footwear. This exclusive range was born in the company's research and development labs.
To the special GEOX membrane, Diadora has added side holes to ensure maximum breathability for the foot, which work seamlessly with the protective features that make up the shoe. Studied have confirmed that, thanks to this membrane, with microholes smaller than a drop of water but larger than a water vapour molecule, water cannot get into the shoe and the foot stays dry, thus providing unrivalled breathability.
